Piotr Małecki

Author of photographic reportages, portraitist, film director and cinematographer. Born in 1967 in Koszalin, Poland. He graduated in documentary film at the Wajda School, also studied cinematography at the Faculty of Radio and Television in Katowice and photography at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art in the United Kingdom. Associate of well-known global press titles. His films are found in the programs of prestigious festivals.
Piotr has received many awards and nominations for photographs and films: nomination for the Jan Machulski independent cinema prize , the award for the best documentary (GrandOff), for multimedia forms (POYi 2012), prizes in photo contests  (BZWBK Press Foto, Grand Press Photo, Polish Press Photography, Newsreportaż).
Two-time scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. In 2010-2012, he lectured in press photography at the Institute of Journalism, Warsaw University.

Winner of many prestigious awards including Pictures of the Year International 2012. Scholar of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Piotr presented his works at exhibitions in Warsaw, New York, Beijing. Between 2010 and 2012 Piotr was teaching photography at the Warsaw University.
